INDONESIA: The number of Shariah compliant stocks listed on the Indonesian Shariah Stock Index (ISSI) of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) stood at 643 shares as of the 31st May 2024, up from 399 counters in 2018. IDX President Director Iman Rachman said: “The capitalization of the Shariah stock market in Indonesia reaches 56% of the total market capitalization. Looking at the daily average transaction value, Shariah stock trading contributes 54%, transaction frequency contributes 69% and transaction volume contributes 75%.”
