MALAYSIA: Affin Bank is buying Pheim Asset Management for RM50 million (US$12.03 million) in cash, in its bid to become a universal bank, it announced in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, reported The Edge. Pheim has subsidiaries in Islamic asset management and unit trust management.
