NIGERIA: Afrinvest Asset Management has launched the Afrinvest Halal fund, an open-ended Shariah compliant unit trust with a fund size of NGN2.5 billion (US$3.25 million). The fund will invest 70-100% in Shariah compliant fixed-income instruments such as Nigerian sovereign Sukuk, state and corporate Sukuk, with up to 30% allocation in Shariah compliant equities and 25% in other permissible Islamic contracts. The fund is advised by Marble Advisory, with United Capital Trustees as trustee and Zenith Bank as custodian. The offer commenced on the 26th June 2025.
