GLOBAL: ASEAN finance ministers and central bank governors reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Islamic finance as part of their efforts to deepen regional financial integration. In a joint statement following the 12th ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting, the leaders recognized the role of Islamic finance in promoting sustainable and inclusive growth across the region. They also reiterated their support for leveraging Islamic finance to mobilize capital for infrastructure development and green financing initiatives.
