MALAYSIA: Bursa Malaysia has launched the Bursa Malaysia Quality 50 Shariah Index (BMQ-S), which is its first in-house index based on financial performance. The index tracks 50 listed companies with strong financials that are recognized as Shariah compliant by the Shariah Advisory Council of the Securities Commission Malaysia and will be reviewed semi-annually to reflect current market conditions.
