BAHRAIN: The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) has announced in a press release that the monthly issue of its BHD26 million (US$68.57 million) Sukuk Ijarah was oversubscribed, receiving BHD85.55 million (US$225.64 million) in subscriptions. The Sukuk facility carries a tenor of 182 days and will mature on the 5th September 2024 with an expected return of 5.9% compared with the previous issue’s return of 6.05%.
Separately, the CBB also announced in a press release that the monthly issue of its BHD43 million (US$113.14 million) Sukuk Salam was oversubscribed, receiving BHD46.45 million (US$122.21 million) in subscriptions. The Sukuk facility carries a tenor of 91 days and will mature on the 12th June 2024 with an expected return of 5.85% compared with 6% of the previous issue on the 14th February 2024.
