UK: The UK Prime Minister’s Office said King Charles III will confer life peerages following nominations submitted by the leaders of the Labour Party, Liberal Democrats and Conservatives, alongside a Crossbench nomination.
Nominees include Farmida Bi, a British corporate solicitor, the Europe, Middle East and Asia chair of Norton Rose Fulbright, and the vice-chair of the disasters emergency committee, alongside David Pitt-Watson, an investment expert and former CEO of Federated Hermes’ Equity Ownership Service; Richard Walker, founder and chairman of Bywater and executive chairman of Iceland Foods; and former education minister Sarah Teather.
