HONG KONG: The CSOP MSCI HK China Connect Select ETF is the first Shariah compliant ETF listed on the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) that tracks an underlying index adhering to Shariah investment principles. This ETF made its debut on the 4th July 2024, HKEX South Asia & Middle East Business Development Head Narendra Hegde wrote in a LinkedIn post. It is based on the MSCI HK China Connect Select Index, which tracks the top 30 securities by market capitalization in the MSCI China and the MSCI Hong Kong Indexes that are listed on HKEX which adhere to Shariah investment principles.
