Foreign investors in Iran’s stock market rise to 5,100

IRAN: The number of foreign investors in Iran’s stock markets reached 5,100 as of July 2025, up 5.3% from 4,839 a year earlier, according to data from the Research, Development and Islamic Studies Department of the Securities and Exchange Organization. The total value of foreign investors’ portfolios in the Tehran Stock Exchange and Fara Bourse surged by 91% year-on-year to over IRR181.8 trillion (about US$363.6 million). Of these foreign investors, 3,391 accounts belong to individual investors holding portfolios valued at IRR14.81 trillion (US$29.6 million), while corporate foreign investors accounted for IRR167.02 trillion (US$334 million).
