MALAYSIA: After offering the world’s first Shariah compliant cryptocurrency funds for over a year, Malaysia’s first licensed digital asset fund manager Halogen Capital has officially launched its operations. Licensed with the Securities Commission Malaysia since 2023, Halogen offers individual, corporate and institutional investors access to digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum within a unit trust fund structure. Founder and CEO Liew Ooi Hann said Halogen now has RM100 million (US$21.74 million) in assets under management (AuM) from over 800 clients and is aiming for RM1 billion (US$217.4 million) AuM within the next two years.
