Established in 1967 under the name Muscat Trading Company, our founder, Mohammad Al Zubair, started with two small shops adjacent to each other in the old souq in Muscat. In the first he had a photography studio and in the second he traded equipment, tools, paint and other construction materials.

Over the next five decades, the Company experienced steady growth and diversification as the nation developed in strides during the Blessed Renaissance, under the leadership of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, may his soul rest in peace and His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik may the Almighty protect him.

Until today, business areas are added, including automotive, infrastructure, investments, and many more. The Muscat Trading Company became Zubair Enterprises, and later The Zubair Corporation. Thousands of employees work in many different fields, both within Oman and internationally.

Sectoral Diversification:
The Zubair Corporation maintains a diversified portfolio across multiple sectors such as industrial and chemical solutions, smart electrification and automation, mobility and equipment, energy and natural resources, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), financial investments, education, real estate development, hospitality, and digitalization and information technology.

Through initiatives like the Zubair Enterprises Development Centre (Zubair EDC), the corporation supports entrepreneurs by providing advisory services and facilitating access to innovative financing solutions, such as crowdfunding partnerships with platforms like Wadiaa.
