KUWAIT: Marwa Al-Juaidan, the acting undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Kuwait, affirmed the ministry’s commitment to enhancing the regulatory and supervisory environment for Shariah complaint companies, Kuwait News Agency reported.
Marwa made the statement in her opening address at the AAOIFI’s 9th Sharia Audit Conference, a two-day event that features sessions addressing the criteria for licensing Shariah auditing activities, the relationship between Shariah supervisory authorities and external editors and the development of Shariah auditing in the context of Takaful regulation, among other topics.
