GLOBAL: Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP), a Malaysian public sector pension fund, is in advanced talks to invest between US$12 million and US$15 million in Fasset, an Islamic digital asset platform based in the UAE, Malay Mail reported.
KWAP reportedly also has plans to establish a center of excellence for Islamic digital assets to boost Malaysia’s ambitions to lead in Shariah compliant blockchain, tokenization and inclusive financial infrastructure.
