GLOBAL: Law firm Latham & Watkins hired an 11-strong team from rival A&O Shearman, which followed with the April 2025 arrival of industry veterans Franz Ranero and Jeremiah Wagner. The law firm is reportedly building a transatlantic private capital offering that brings together collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), asset-backed lending and fund finance – which are among key foundations for Shariah compliant instruments popular in the Middle East.
