Malaysian pension fund manager launches climate-focused Shariah investment fund

MALAYSIA: Pension fund manager Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP) launched Dana Iklim+, Malaysia’s first climate-focused investment fund – which will be managed as a Shariah compliant infrastructure vehicle with a target RM2 billion (US$473.23 million) deployment of institutional capital towards climate-focused investments across infrastructure, PE, real estate and nature-based solutions. Dana Iklim+ seeks to deliver both sustainable financial returns and measurable environmental outcomes in Malaysia’s transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy.
