New Apex Group platform to democratize access to global investments
Alternative asset manager Apex Group has launched a platform that consolidates various private investment opportunities and deals, both conventional and Shariah compliant, aiming to lower the entry bar and democratize access to such prospects.
The Apex Invest IO platform was launched during the group’s event in Abu Dhabi in late November 2025, with the first phase mimicking the networking sessions that such events facilitate among its various clients and partners.
Chief Product Officer Zion Hilelly shared with IFN Investor that these Apex Group events bring together investors and fund managers – matchmaking for capital raising and the introduction of various offerings.
“The participants are diverse, ranging from hedge funds to PE to private debt customers that are looking for investors and vice versa. Those from pension funds, family offices and the like are looking for new strategies.
“We take in those distribution channels and put them on steroids with the Apex Invest IO platform." This elevates this platform to be a matchmaking tool that can operate all year-round, rather than being highlighted mainly at the group’s five annual events.
The next phase, expected to be launched by mid-2026, will enable transactions to be completed within the platform – incorporating various necessities like contracts and payment receipts.
“When that phase is fully operational, the platform can then be progressively opened to clients and partners who do not yet have any dealings with Apex Group.”
The underlying infrastructure incorporates blockchain technology that facilitates fund tokenization – built using expertise from partners and several tech firms that were acquired by the Apex Group in recent years.
“For fund managers, it's a click away to almost tokenize their funds. So, we are demystifying the whole blockchain process, making it simpler and easier for both sides.”
Once access to the platform is further liberalized in phase three, new funds and offerings can be swiftly onboarded from around the globe – with the focus mainly to be on private deals, said Zion.
At this stage, the built-in tokenization capability will allow offerings to be priced in fractions low enough via synthetic SPVs that will appeal to retail investors – opening new avenues for fund managers which may not have otherwise been considered.
“We can also white label the offerings for outfits that want their own branding. What’s important is how private investment opportunities typically reserved for affluent clients can be soon available to everyone.”

"Also, the crypto guys, instead of just investing in Bitcoin, can now get into infrastructure, real estate strategies in ways that are as simple as possible. The platform is really just about helping customers with this trend.”
