GLOBAL: HSBC Global Private Banking announced several key appointments to expand its coverage for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients in Southeast Asia and beyond – for both conventional and Shariah compliant asset management services.
Edy Panggabean is now senior relationship manager and cluster head for Indonesia while Xilin Yeo is joining the Indonesia team as relationship manager. Both were previously at UBS Global Wealth Management.
Other relationship manager appointees, based in Singapore, are Kraisit Buakruen (for Thailand and Vietnam), Fiona Gan (China and Hong Kong) and Shobana Vaidhyanathan (India).
Clarence Arokiasamy was promoted to regional head of client lifecycle management, Global Private Banking, based in Hong Kong. Souvik Bera was appointed regional head of commercial due diligence (CDD) business advisory, Global Private Banking, to lead a team of CDD advisers that will facilitate onboarding and reviews of complex UHNW cases across Singapore, Hong Kong, China and India.
Related appointees are Samm Zhuo as Singapore head of client lifecycle management, Minying Chen as regional CDD quality assurance team lead, based in Singapore, and Liam Gormley as senior business financial crime risk manager, Asia Global Private Banking, wealth and personal.
