OMAN: The Council of Ministers has approved the establishment of the Oman Global Financial Centre as part of a strategic initiative to strengthen the Sultanate’s position as a regional financial hub, Times of Oman reported. The centre will target investments from commercial banks and global financial institutions operating in conventional and Islamic banking, financial services and insurance. He added that the Oman Global Financial Centre will offer incentives for investment management, company formation and partnerships, leveraging Oman’s political stability and international economic ties.
