MALAYSIA: Malaysian TakaTech company secured RM5 million (US$1.17 million) in a recent fundraising round from PPB Ventures. The funds will be invested to expand market share, enhance technology infrastructure and product innovation.
Separately, Ouch! received an additional one-year extension to operate under Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)’s regulatory sandbox. The company is working towards securing a Digital Insurance and Takaful Operator license from BNM.
