Swiss bank Mirabaud appoints Ruggiero Lomonaco as Islamic head

GLOBAL: Swiss private bank Mirabaud appointed Ruggiero Lomonaco as head of Islamic finance for Mirabaud Middle East, starting the 23rd February 2026. He is establishing for Mirabaud a full-fledged Islamic finance window regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority. The appointment reflects Mirabaud’s commitment to develop its Shariah compliant and Islamic finance offerings, with a legacy of over 200 years, currently handling a total AuM of over CHF32 billion (US$41.36 billion). Ruggiero Lomonaco has nearly three decades of experience with focus on developing ethical, Shariah compliant investment solutions for family offices, private investors and institutional clients. In the last eight years, Ruggiero managed the Shariah Alternatives platform for Rasmala Investment Bank, investing primarily in real estate and infrastructure.
