SYRIA: The Syrian Ministry of Finance is finalizing a legislative project regulating the issuance of Sukuk which would allow for the issuance of sovereign Sukuk, reported Enab Baladi quoting Anas Ali, the director of public revenues at the Syrian Ministry of Finance. The project also allows private institutions to issue Sukuk to finance their income-generating production projects.
