Vault22 eyes Islamic finance in UAE

UAE: Vault22, a fintech backed by Standard Chartered’s SC Ventures and Next176, plans to enter the Islamic finance market with a Shariah compliant personal finance and wealth management offering in the UAE through its Hafiq platform, which is expected to launch around mid-2026 from the Dubai International Financial Centre; the platform will feature AI-powered Shariah asset screening tools, a real-time Zakat calculator and access to ETFs and thematic portfolios targeting younger investors. The company, which also counts Franklin Templeton among its backers, continues to explore investor participation including Gulf-based family offices and is expanding its operations across the Middle East, Africa and Asia as it leverages its existing user base of over one million and partnerships with financial institutions to provide digital wealth infrastructure and white-label solutions in emerging markets, Bloomberg reported.
