UAE: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) launched its fractional Sukuk platform, laying claim to be the first bank globally allowing investors to participate from US$1,000 compared to the usual US$200,000 minimum – which made such instruments previously accessible only to institutional investors or high net-worth customers. The ‘Smart Sukuk’ digital investment solution enables retail customers to invest in fractionalized Sukuk certificates directly through the ADIB mobile app.
