BRUNEI: The Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) has on the 7th March 2024 priced the 163rd issuance of its BDCB Islamic Bills (BDCB I-Bills) worth BN$2 million (US$1.5 million) with a profit rate of 2.9% and a maturity date of the 21st March 2024, a press release confirmed.
Separately, the BDCB has on the 14th March 2024 priced the 164th issuance of its BDCB I-Bills worth BN$17 million (US$12.71 million) with a profit rate of 3.45% and a maturity date of the 29th March 2024, another press release confirmed.
With this issuance, the BDCB has thus far issued BN$4.1 billion (US$3.06 billion)-worth of short-term BDCB I-Bills since the maiden offering on the 22nd October 2020, and the total holdings of the BDCB I-Bills outstanding as at the 14th March 2024 stood at BN$19 million (US$14.2 million).
