FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series review

MALAYSIA: FTSE Russell and Bursa Malaysia have announced the results of the June 2026 semi-annual review of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Series, with two constituent changes to the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Hijrah Shariah Index taking effect on the 22nd June 2026. Sunway Healthcare and Tanco have been added to the Shariah index, replacing Eco-Shop Marketing and Zetrix AI. The review, conducted under FTSE Russell's rules-based methodology assessing market capitalization, free float and liquidity thresholds, also saw changes across other indices, including one change to the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI, where IOI Properties Group replaces Sime Darby, and five changes to the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index. The next semi-annual review is scheduled for December 2026.
