Iran’s stock market reopens after 80-day closure

IRAN: The Securities and Exchange Organization announced the reopening of the Fara Bourse for regular trading in equities and related instruments starting the 19th May 2026 – 80 days after suspension during the US-Israel attack from the 20th February 2026. Full resumption of trading activities including equity and balanced investment funds, the derivatives markets as well as VC and PE investment funds comes days after the launch of Iran’s seventh silver fund, the Parsian Commodity Investment Fund, offering up to IRR2 trillion (US$1.52 million) worth of units for subscription.
