The discussions covered potential collaboration in Islamic economy-based business development, agriculture, academia, Islamic banking and finance as well as the possible organization of an international Halal expo in Indonesia. PBNU is also preparing the Nahdlatul Ulama Harvest Maslaha platform, described as a global Islamic investment vehicle intended to support collaborative initiatives between Nahdlatul Ulama and Malaysian stakeholders. The cooperation is expected to expand to other Asian countries including Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia and Vietnam.
