GLOBAL: Qatar Development Bank (QDB) announced a strategic investment in Shariah compliant fintech Wahed for an undisclosed amount and also appointed Khalid Al Jassim as executive chairman of Wahed MENA. One of the earliest investors in Wahed, Khalid is also chairman at Afkar Vision – a private advisory house specialized in mergers and acquisitions with offices in Manama, Dubai and Riyadh. He also sits at the boards of Bahrain Islamic Bank, SICO Bank and SICO Capital in Saudi Arabia.
