UAE expands virtual asset regulation

UAE: The UAE’s Capital Market Authority has issued a comprehensive framework to regulate virtual assets, establishing an integrated system comprising five core units and expanding regulated activities from three to eight. The regulator aims to align oversight with international standards including provisions covering trading systems, custody, advisory and portfolio management services.
