PAKISTAN: YB Group, which dates its founding to 1929 and is involved in the textile, energy and real estate sectors, is venturing into the Islamic investment space with the acquisition of Interloop Asset Management. This deal between two major Pakistan conglomerates also saw the end of retirement for AlMeezan Investment Founding CEO Mohammad Shoaib, who heads YB Group subsidiary Lucky Investment Management – the vehicle used for the Interloop firm takeover.
