Indonesian banks enter acquisition agreement

INDONESIA: OCBC Indonesia has agreed to acquire the international wealth and premier banking business of HSBC Indonesia to expand its wealth management business. The transaction involves the transfer of assets and liabilities worth US$6.6 billion in total AuM. The portfolio comprises customer deposits, investment products covering bonds, mutual funds and insurance, credit cards and retail loans.

OCBC Indonesia expects the deal to increase its AuM by 25%, with completion targeted for Q2 2027.
